Te Whāriki (2017) supporting resources

In 2017, the Ministry of Education released the refreshed version of Te Whāriki: He whāriki mātauranga mō ngā mokopuna o Aotearoa Early childhood curriculum and Te Whāriki a te Kōhanga Reo.  

To support kaiako in understanding the changes in the refreshed document, a series of supporting resources were developed. These include videos, whakataukī cards, learning outcomes cards, and kaiako cards.

The principles, strands, goals and learning outcomes of Te Whāriki are now part of the Early Learning Curriculum Framework | He Anga Marau Kōhungahunga, which was published in the New Zealand Gazette.

To acknowledge this, a set of goals cards have been developed for kaiako.
