He Noho Tahi - Being Together is a series of resources that provide practical and effective ways for parents and whānau to foster social and emotional learning in the home.

  • Everyday moments and routines are great times to help children practise social skills and learn about their emotions.
  • Playing with children helps them learn how to get along with others and feel good about who they are.
  • Talking about feelings helps children to understand and talk about how they feel.

He Noho Tahi - Being Together is a resource for whānau that links to the Kōwhiti Whakapae suite. This suite is for teachers to guide teaching practice and children’s progress in the areas of social and emotional learning, oral language, literacy, and maths. You can find more information about supporting children’s social & emotional learning in He Māpuna te Tamaiti
