Mana tangata | Contribution learning module

This learning module is designed for kaiako to strengthen their intentional teaching practices for supporting mokopuna within the Mana tangata I Contribution strand of Te Whāriki.

Self-esteem is nurtured so that mokopuna can stand with confidence to care for and contribute to their world.

This self-paced learning module invites you to reflect on five key messages from the contribution strand:

  • Ngā hononga I Relationships
  • Mana taurite I Equity
  • Mahi tahi I Collaboration
  • Ngā mōtika I Rights
  • Te mana āhua ake I Affirming uniqueness

You will have opportunities to reflect on practice, gain practical insights, and identify strategies to strengthen your teaching practice.

This module will take around 45 minutes to complete.

Before you start the module

The module is on the Education Learning Management System.

  • While you can access the module as a guest, to get the best experience from the modules: 
  • you will need an Education Sector Logon (ESL) (You can find further information about How to get an Education Sector Logon at the Education Applications and Online systems website.   • An ESL will enable you to complete the module at your own pace, save progress, and have a record of learning for professional learning and development.
