    Pacific cultural competency workbook

The Pacific cultural competency workbook is part of a cohesive suite of professional learning resources that are critical for embracing cultural diversity and will enable your school and your leaders to implement the Tapasā framework in a way that is engaging and meaningful.

This values guide builds awareness that will be a lens for your teaching practice and lead to more effective collaboration with Pacific communities. You may come to understand cultural values that currently present challenges and opportunities in your teaching setting. These values characterise Pacific learners and their communities and are also meaningful in Pacific customs, practices, and ways of being.

This guide uses the Tapasā videos to show how these values are interconnected and how your Pacific learners may see them. We also explore how these values can help you navigate cross-cultural communication and develop practical teaching and learning strategies that illustrate these values.

Access the Pacific cultural competency workbook on Google Slides.
