Kei Tua o te Pae - Assessment for Learning ECE Exemplars
Kei Tua o te Pae is a resource that was published in three series from 2004 to 2009 to understand and strengthen children’s learning within the framework of the 1996 version of Te Whāriki. See Materials that come with this resource at the bottom of the page to download the books.
The Kei Tua o te Pae: Early Childhood Education Exemplars consist of a series of 20 books that help teachers to understand and strengthen children’s learning and show how children, parents and whānau can contribute to assessment and ongoing learning. We are making this resource available because there is still demand for it and it has continuing value. Kei Tua o te Pae does not reflect the 2017 refresh of Te Whāriki. Educational research about curriculum, assessment, pedagogy and practice has also developed since the publication of this resource.
